This Privacy Policy applies to all users of NAYEN MUSIC's services, including our website at nayenmusic.com, the creator dashboard, and any related platforms.

1. Who We Are

NAYEN MUSIC ("we", "our", "us") is a record label that partners with content creators to distribute original music through YouTube Shorts. We provide creators with a revenue-sharing program where they feature our licensed tracks in their videos and receive 75% of the revenue generated.

2. Data We Collect

Account Information

When you register or apply to join our network, we collect:

  • Full name and email address
  • Username or handle
  • YouTube channel URL(s)
  • Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store plaintext passwords)
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) secret, if you choose to enable it

Payment Information

To process earnings payouts we may collect:

  • Preferred payment method and associated account details (e.g., PayPal email)
  • Billing address (if required by the payment processor)

We do not store full credit or debit card numbers. Payment transactions are handled by our third-party payment processors.

Platform Usage Data

When you use our dashboard we automatically collect:

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps
  • Device identifiers and session tokens
  • Feature usage events (e.g., which filters you apply to your earnings chart)

YouTube Analytics Data

With your authorisation via the YouTube Data API, we access:

  • Video performance metrics (views, watch time, estimated revenue) for videos you register in our platform
  • Channel-level statistics necessary to calculate your revenue share

We only access the data necessary to operate the service. We do not access your private messages, subscriber lists, or any data beyond what is needed.

Communications

If you contact us by email or Discord, we retain those communications to respond to you and to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your creator account
  • Calculate and process your revenue share payments
  • Provide you with access to the earnings dashboard and analytics
  • Communicate with you about your account, new tracks, policy changes, and payment updates
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity or policy violations
  • Improve and develop our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance — processing is necessary to fulfil our creator agreement with you
  • Legitimate interests — to improve our services, prevent fraud, and ensure security
  • Consent — where you have explicitly agreed (e.g., optional marketing emails)

5. Third Parties & Service Providers

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate our platform, under strict data processing agreements:

  • YouTube / Google LLC — we use the YouTube Data API to retrieve video and channel analytics. Your use of YouTube is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting & Infrastructure Providers — cloud hosting and database services
  • Payment Processors — to facilitate earnings payouts
  • Discord — our community platform; subject to Discord's Privacy Policy

We do not authorise service providers to use your data for their own purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. When you request account deletion:

  • Account profile data is deleted within 30 days
  • Financial and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations
  • Anonymised or aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
